Palm Springs Hotel Info

I know this is all of a sudden, however Big Daddy and I have sort of come up with a great idea to keep Tony's memory alive. I was able to secure a group rate at the Howard Johnson's in Palm Springs, CA for $69.00 on 1/26/05 for all those still wanting to trek on. We were also thinking of having a get together in memory of Tony while in Palm Springs and dedicating the run to Scottsdale in his memory. I'll list the hotel info below if you want to get a reservation. Please mention MAA when you make the reservation. Please let me know if you'll be coming.....

Looks like things are shaping up for a great tribute drive for Tony. I'm tying up loose strings and the fine people at the Palm Springs HoJo have been a big help and at this rate we may fill all rooms we have reserved. If the need arises I may be able to hold a few extra rooms. Remember to mention MAA when reserving. As discussed before we will be pulling out of the Kettleman City In-n-Out Burger parking lot at 1200 sharp on the 26th. I plan on getting there pretty early so just look for my Beige BirdBasher (1966 Coupe). After some talk with other folks, we will meet at the Billy Reeds' Restraunt next to the HoJos' in Palm Springs to talk and laugh about the good times with Tony. I'll see if I can get a separate room set aside for us if enough people are interested. The travel route will be down the I-5 to the 210 east and then east on I-10. The people at HoJo told me that we should take Highway 111 off of the I-10 as we near Palm Springs, (it's 4 lanes divided they said) which turns into North Palm Canyon Drive which is where our hotel is located. For specific hotel details please read the Memorial Drive thread. I will be bringing plenty of black ribbon to black out your pony and or corral on your grill if you should choose to honor Tony this way. I'm sure there are other details and when something changes I'll post them here.
