    Sam Bailey

If this is a repost of this information please forgive. I got an email from Rhonda Bailey, the wife of Sam Bailey who was featured in our 2004 Mustangs Across America documentary with his Mustang and trailer.

    Dear Sam,

My husband Sam Bailey and his friend Chester Spink participated in the 40th anniversary celebrations for Mustang in Nashville and took part in the memorable Mustangs Across America Drive. You probably remember Sam's green 66 Mustang (modified 5L) with the little Bigfoot trailer with the matching green stripe hooked on behind.

I just found your email amongst Sam's last email messages and have decided to write and let you know that he passed away on April 15, 2012 after living courageously with cancer for two years. Despite radiation treatments, surgery, and chemotherapy, he continued to live life fully, right to the end. Around here, he was "Mr. Mustang," especially after he founded our local club, the Pacific Coast Mustang Association.

Here is a link to an obituary online.

That is so sad to here of Sam's passing I had talked to him last Summer and knew he was ill, Sam was a lot of fun to be around and got to know him a little better when we did our 2005 trip to Scottsdale. Sam had such a passion for his cars and will be missed in the MAA family.
