Mustang Across America 2014 50th Anniversary

    Hello,
My parents drove from a '68 GT Coupe from Seattle to Charlotte, NC in 1994 for the 30th anniversary. Now they're both gone, and I've got the car. I'm interested in hearing more about the 50th anniversary and how to participate. Looking forward to seeing some of you then.

    Bob -

It is great seeing the car again. Your dad also drove that car on the 1995 Mustangs Across America run from California to Bellevue, WA. A relative flew out from the East coast to do the run with your dad. We meet the group in Medford, OR and came with them into Bellevue. Your dad also showed the car at Mustangs Northwest display show at Alderwood Mall around Father's day for a couple of years. Glad to see the car is still in the family. Hope to see you on the 2014 Mustangs Across America run.

    Welcome Bob,

Thats a very nice looking car. Keep checking in with the site and the info will be posted. Untill then read the listings for up coming shows and find one near your neck of the woods for some driving practice. You might also run into a few other MMA Alumni.

That is just gorgeous! Period. I will never understand why some people think Mustangs are just cars. I love the wheels.

Bob you have no idea what it means to see that car and to hear that you have desire to come and celebrate with us for the 50th. I remember your parents well and the car. This like this, the passing of the torch if you will make our journeys so special.

We do not yet know what or where the 2014 50th Anniversary Drive will be yet and likely wont for another two years. But you can keep up with us here until then and you will be the first to know. :)

Bob, I was looking at the pictures in the gallery under the section posted by Sam as the 30th anniversary drive 1994. On page 5 the last picture is a hotel sign that says welcome mustangs across America. Take a close look at the cars in the parking lot. Yes thats your car in the picture.

    Bob,
My parents have a 1965 coupe 200hp that is now "in the family." My dad bought it from Pat Miliken Ford in Detroit then drove it out to Seattle to work for Boeing. We have been in the northwest ever since with strong ties to Detroit. We are thinking of making the 50th anniversary ride when it happens in some shape or form. Maybe we can take off together out of Seattle. The car is currently at my house in Randle (off of White Pass) and it still runs. My dad drove it to Boeing until 1990.

Sam looking back at old posts and saw this link where they were looking at driving to the 50th as their parents had driven the car to Charlotte in 95 with MAA but they have both passed now..how cool that one of the shows also happens to be in Charlotte but the dream of an MAA cruise can't be fulfilled...it's funny that you mentioned passing the torch which ultimately is what you decided to do. As for Carol (SSC) you have the most amazing memory I don't know how you remember everybody like you do.
