MAA Website Updates!

Today the first wave of site upgrades have been installed. There are still a few more steps to go in the coming days.

The FORUMS are all new as of today. If you have been around here for a while you will notice a lot of changes, a new look, and some new features. All the tools you are used to are still in place, but might be relocated.

There may be some bugs here and there, but all the details and bugs will be worked on in the coming days. Be patient. The look and feel will be tweaked a little here and there too.

The GALLERIES are currently taken down. They have to be upgraded with a new software package that may take an extra day or two. Be patient. Hopefully the upgrades will "fix" the issues we have been having and get them working right for everyone once again.

The TOWN SQUARE section of the site will be getting a complete upgrade in the coming weeks.

Hi cutie! I am bad and shameless. No upgrades done yet; however, it's been in the body shop 3 times now for different things (long story, next time). And any money I could have spent on upgrades went to (1) the on going saga of an almost 3-year separation (now finally in divorce stage) and (2) driving my Shelby. Can't seem to stay off the road. I'm obsessed with driving; it's like a drug - an expensive one.

Speaking of road trips. I wondered if you might make an appearance in OK. It was a good show, small but good. So Sturgis is the next one on my list; and the last for the year (maybe). Any chance you'll make the drive to Sturgis? If not, and if time permits, I might detour on the way back and stop by. Trying to see if I can squeeze in a detour to see Krueg and his girlfriend too. Can you send me a PM w/your contact info? I lost my entire address book months ago.

I was wondering, when is the official Discovery Channel video for the 2009 MAA road trip gonna come out? would be nice to see it! I remember the video crew driving with us and interviewing us.

I do not believe there is going to be a documentary coming out about the 2009 run unless they did some deep undercover work we do not know about. In 2004 we knew they were going to be with us so it was a no brainer but in 2009 I guess they felt the topic had already been sufficiently covered so they decided to pass on a repeat. Maybe 2014 for the 50th!?!? (How 'bout it Discovery?)

The folks you saw filmng were from Ford. They did not say specifically what they planned on using the footage for but I do not think it was to make a documentary. More than likely they were gathering footage for commercials or a documentary on Ford or the Mustang. We may well see some of that footage on a 50th anniversary documentary for the Mustangs birthday but that is pure speculation. Even Mustang One does not know (or will not say) what that footage is to be used for.
