Greetings! I told myself I would limit the stang board memberships to three, but after finding this one I had to amend the rules. I caught the documentary covering the last event and it really made my day. I've had my mustang for about ten years now and I never tire of spending time with others that share my love for these (and all) cars. I've convinced the wife to join me for the 2014 event and I eagerly look forward to getting to know a few of you in the interim.

A "brief" history of my baby... Bought in 2003 in rough but running condition. Rebuilt motor and tranny with help from some long time friends. That started a whirlwind of learning and rebuilding that snowballed out of control. Drove the car as a daily driver for two years. Career took a left hand turn and I ended up traveling for a living for six or seven years so the car didn't get as much attention. Three years ago I landed a stable job, bought a house, got married and threw some serious time, work and assets into a restoration/mod. Took everything down to the metal, replaced too many parts to count and rebuilt the motor again. One day I'll have all the pics of the last three years up on my website but the years prior to that can be found here: http://www.65mustang.4t.com

I have a crazy amount of things on my never ending "to do" list, but in the near future I need to replace the steering box, install this nifty retro-sound radio I bought, move my TCP brace kit and cure a silly oil leak that I suspect may be stemming from a worn crank :sad2:.

I look forward to future hours wasted here!

Hello JVince! As the days and hours get closer to the 2014 drive the obsession with this forum will become greater. Some of us end up needing therapy for the addiction (therapy meaning another road trip to plan and talk about) and sometimes our friends have to step in and pry the keyboard away from our cramped fingers. But it is a great group of people and you will find that the exception you made to join us will be very rewarding indeed!

Greetings fellow Mustang freaks!

I've been a member of this board since October of last year but this is my first post. First found out about MAA from the documentary on tv.

Hoping to make the 2014 cruise even if I have to sell a kidney to make it. Looking forward to being a part of this community!

Jim

Hey Jim

Big Daddy here

WELCOME! Glad you are participating. As it has been mentioned before the site gets kinda quiet in between runs but I think that by the end of next year we should be starting to get more action once the official destination is announced. Until then keep visiting and let us know what you are up to.

Welcome JVince!!! Renea didn't go far enough. Some of us are so addicted to this Forum that we take our laptops on the road during the MAA drive so we can log in at night and yack about our day . . . after yacking about our day with each other over dinner or drinks. And for some of us, this Forum was the only way to eventually find each other.

I just brought a smart phone to do that with. LOL
And Lizette didn't mention that she plays hide and seek and it took 4 cities before I found her!

Lizette's so right a lot of us sometimes do go to extremes to make sure you document our trips, on the 2004 MAA trip I had my lapstop strapped in the passengers seat beside me with my gps on the big screen. These trips are more of a gathering of Brothers & Sisters from a different Mother, where lifetime bonds are formed. It seem little each of our mini MAA get togethers is really like a little family reunion.
